Well, the new BOD has voted a new AYYA President. Me, Dave Schulte.
I want to take this opportunity to thanks Joe Mitchell for his years of service as the president, and also to thank him for his continued support as a board member of the AYYA. The BOD works closely with the president, and with Joe that was not an exception. We spoke on numerous occasions, and emailed tons more. I feel that he guided us toward a better AYYA.
Anytime a new president is elected to office, often times a new adgenda, or direction is taken. I will not do that. I like the direction the AYYA is going, so I will continue the hard work of Joe and the past BOD to keep us moving in that direction. The many things the AYYA has done over the past few years have been great. I will try to expand on those things. (Hall of Fame, World Records, Web site upgrades, etc)
I do have a lot of new ideas that will be posted about in the near future, but rest assured these new ideas will not be putting the AYYA back or even slow us down on the great things that were done under Joe Mitchels presidency.....they will expand on them.
If you are a member of the AYYA keep your eyes open for some new features of the website, and if you are not a member, please join and help make the AYYA a great organization.
